Extra-Curricular Activities Creative There are a range of activities available for pupils at Nottage Primary School. Mrs. Helen Williams teaches stringed instruments to pupils from Year 4-Year 6.
Mrs. Karen Hnyda teaches woodwind instruments to Key Stage 2 pupils.
Mr. Edwards teaches brass instruments to pupils in Key Stage 2.
Mr. Raul Arrieta provides guitar and percussion tuition for children in Key Stage 2.
Mr. Arrieta also runs after school drama classes.
The school choir meets at lunchtimes and performs in both school and local singing events.
The school orchestra meet twice a term and gave a recent performance for Key Stage 2.

Sporting During the Autumn and Spring terms Key Stage Two pupils have the opportunity to participate in netball and rugby clubs after school.
There are football clubs for various year groups.
During the summer term pupils have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular basketball and cricket.
There is also a lunchtime hockey club.
Table tennis is played at lunchtimes.
There is a lunchtime cross country club and pupils attend monthly cross country events around the Bridgend area.
After School Clubs The YMCA uses Nottage Primary School as a pick up point for pupils wishing to attend the YMCA after school club.
There is an after school craft club run by Crafty Little Creations, Porthcawl. This operates here at the school.

Other Activities There is a board games club which runs at lunchtimes. This is a good opportunity for pupils to learn traditional games skills which do not involve a computer! The ICT suite is open at lunchtimes for pupils to freely use the computers. There is a Computer Club For Girls (CC4G) which runs at various times of the year. The gardening club works hard to enhance the grounds of our school. The ECO Committee works hard to enhance ecological awareness in our school. The School Council is made up of staff and pupil representatives from Year 2-Year 6.
